As to what's required, I've found the following document very helpful in providing a checklist for what is required.
http://www-03.ibm.com/support/techdocs/atsmastr.nsf/WebIndex/FLASH10477 According to this document... The following z/OS and z/OS.e releases are supported on the z9: • z/OS V1.4 with the z/OS V1.4 z990 Compatibility Support Feature (no longer orderable), or z/OS V1.4 with the z/OS V1.4 z990 Exploitation Support Feature (orderable until December 11, 2006, unpriced, optional feature) So, you need to order z990 Exploitation Support Feature RIGHT NOW (before Dec 11, 2006), or wait for IBM to populate the web site to add z/OS 1.4 downloads to the "unsupported operating system" category on the downloads page to get the Exploitation Support Feature (currently only OS/390 2.10 and z/OS 1.2 and z/OS 1.3 are listed in the "z990 compatibility for selected out of support releases" category: http://www-03.ibm.com/servers/eserver/zseries/zos/downloads/ Brian On Thu, 7 Dec 2006 14:46:51 +0100, Marcin Wąsik wrote: >Hello, > >I'm trying to find zOS V1R4 z990 Exploitation Support Feature. > >My question is: how can I get it in Poland??? > >Is it really necessary to run zOS 1.4 on z9 BC? > >Marcin Wasik > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
