No, specifying a volume that is SMS controlled is not necessary since SMS will
direct the recall to a volume with enough space.

Subject: DFHSM - RECALL FAILED - NO SPACE ON VOLUME

I am encountering a problem trying to recall a dsn which is not SMS managed.
The recall fails because the pack is saturated :
ARC1104I NO PRIMARY VOLUME AVAILABLE FOR RECALL

Is it okay to issue the following command via ISPF 3.4:
HRECALL / VOLUME(DBD002) UNIT(3390)

Also, would this command work for a SMS managed dsn as well?
