What is the difference between a DASD device that returns a look-up value
from EDTINFO of X'00012000' and one that returns a value of X'00022000'?
Are these values documented somewhere?
Both of these are for esoteric device names (such as DISK and SYSDA).
They are unique to each installation so they are not documented.
When you say "DASD device that returns a look-up value" what do you
mean? What API are you using to get this info?
