In a client environment, Started Task HSM has the RACF TRUSTED attribute. Yet, when it is attempting to release empty tapes, it needs READ access permission to RMM's FACILITY class resource STGADMIN.EDG.RELEASE in order to perform this function. I find this odd because I would have expected its TRUSTED authority to allow this access. I presume RMM is initiating the RACROUTE access authorization call and am curious as to how it is doing so such that HSM's TRUSTED authority is not coming into play. For instance, is RMM using RACROUTE REQUEST=FASTAUTH or is it building a separate ACEE for HSM rather than using the one associated with the Started Task.
