I would like to add that the 'problem' is even worse than it looks : HW/SW Dynamic changes are allowed using an IODF with more than one extent, but afterwards if you want to IPL the Lpar with the same IODF it will not work (the system will go into a Wait State code). It could become a very big problem in a POR.
