Our HSM CDS's are currently allocated at 4GB's on non-SMS volumes- 1 cluster each. We're a zOS1.7 shop & we're looking at staying with a 1 cluster arrangement, but converting the CDS's to EA (extended format, extended addressablitity) & allowing them to grow beyond 4GB's. Our BCDS is our main concern as it currently has be to re-org'ed about once every 3 months. It wouldn't take a very large increase in activity to cause that 3 months to shrink.
We're currently using options CDSR=NO & CDSQ=YES and haven't implemented RLS. I do realize I'm also I'm going to have to put the new CDS's on SMS volumes. Anyone else using EA CDS's? Anyone seen any problems or gotcha's? Still RTFM's - ddkeller ************************************************************************************** This e-mail message and all attachments transmitted with it may contain legally privileged and/or confidential information intended solely for the use of the addressee(s).
