How about creating a remote Web-based code compile submission system? Interesting rainy day project to test your scripting language mettle.
I can almost do that now, actually:-) I've got MVS 3.8 running on the LAN (on Hercules, not a real steam engine:-) and it used to be open for TN3270 and RJE to the big bad 'net until I got a lot of unwelcome probes.
I could easily enough add a basic source and listing DB and squirt things over RJE to MVS again. Unfortunately I don't have a more up-to-date mainframe OS to play with.
I'll pass it on to m'colleague:-) Roo ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
