Had 12 IBM 6400s. Easiest thing to do is to use the cheapest external JetDirect or equivalent device to attach your 6400 using a parallel cable. Works great is cheap. We used then for printing forms with Barcodes and the 6400 printer appeared as LPD printer to VPS. If you have any questions, contact me offlist.
