Hi Jerry,
With regard to:
"I'm the dummy here. No real DB2 experience.
Running a Flex-Es system with z/OS 1.6 and DB2 8.1. We need to set up a DDF
test that does nothing more than process any SQL statement whatsoever.
Is there a way to run such a sample test via a batch job or must this come from
somewhere on our network (perish the thought). I'll need step-by-step help."
I am not a DB2 expert by any means so I may get flamed with these comments, but
as a FLEX-ES and DB2 V8 user my 2 cents worth is that you may need more than is
realised.
I have been reading up on DDF as it would be a usual feature to demonstrate and
understand. Reading is as far as I got as my interpretation is that some work
is entailed in configuring various DB2 Tables to establish the identity and
locations of the remote requestors. (This concept of remote requestors may well
kill the batch job concept.)

I just viewed it as a non-trivial exercise.
Kind Regards - Terry
