I'd consider it a bug rather than request for new function: It
works for coax-attached terminals; I'd assume that it's supposed
to work likewise for TCP/IP attached terminals.

Otherwise, I think we're in unrecognized agreement.  There's likely
to be some time limit beyond which reconnect is not permitted.
once that point is passed, it should be possible to start a new
session.  But, yes, I'd like a limit greater than zero.
