Charles, This is correct, IF you use the V8 pre-compiler. However, according to the DB2 Free-For-All at SHARE, the IBM'ers present verified that for V8, the V7 pre-compiler can still be used, both legally and technically, with older, unsuported compilers. We are sizing the re-compile effort. The senior DBA is highly skilled. I have no reason to distrust his statements.
