Hello, We are migrating from STK-VSM and 9310 Robot to a 3494-B20 with native and VTS library, using 3592-J1A cartriges. The VTS capacity will be 2.5TB.
We're running in z/OS 1.4, with DFSMS and DFSMSrmm. We'll be changing our Batch allocations to the VTS and at the same time will start converting (copying) virtual tapes from the VSM to the VTS and later from real Robot tapes also to the VTS. The question is: As we'll be moving tapes from the VSM to the VTS we'd like those virtual tapes to be 'stacked' in real ones imediately so it won't impact the daily Batch work . Can you give me any idea how to do this?
