This surly old curmudgeon is trying to figure out how to transition from
TSO/ISPF to a true UNIX shell. What would be wonderful would be if the
ISPF people could transition their code to run under a UNIX shell in
such a way as to be able to "emulate" the TSO TGET/TPUT/TPG functions
using CURSES or X11. This only leaves how to run TSO/APF authorized
functions under UNIX (although the UNIX REXX "address tso" does that
fairly well).
