I know I am late with responding and maybe you already have your answer but in
case you don't the only gotcha I can think of is just to make sure you use bind
for your OMVS piece if you telnet using otelnet. Your /etc/services file
should be fine.
23 TCP TELNET
23 TCP OMVS BIND xx.xx.x.xx
; 23 TCP INTCLIEN
