Hi all, I'm setting up the z9 hardware crypto express 2 coprocessors for the first time. I was able to get 1 coprocessor online to our TEST lpar and everything looks good there. We don't expect to use it there so I unchecked everything on the crypto tab on the test image activation profile. For the prod image I checked control domain index 0,1,2,3 and usage domain index 0,1,2,3. I did the same for the candidate and online list. We then IPL'd this weekend.
This morning I started up CSF started task and entered the ICSF app. No coprocessors were listed as available. I checked the SE and all the coprocessors are in deconfigured state. All four coprocessors show only TEST and CF1 (coupling facility) as eligible lpars. I don't know why PROD lpar is not eligible. We only have 3 images defined in the CPC: TEST, PROD, and CF1. I'm currently reading thru the redbook sg247123 hoping to find something there.
