This is what I see when I run the exec. I don't think that I am supposed
to see the attribute characters.

I see the same thing. I'm using the Vista emulator on z/OS 1.8. Everything
is displayed in RED (and not BLUE and WHITE as I saw on a screen shot that
someone sent me). I don't know if it's related or not, but for what it's
worth Graphic Escape Characters (e.g. up/down arrows etc) are displayed
correctly on my ISPF panels.
