Hopefully you have a tape management system set up to keep from overwriting your HSM tapes. Without that, there is very little to keep you from making a mistake and overwriting them.
You could always set up HSM to use an expiration date of 1999/365 so that at least when you try to use the tape for JES that you get the unexpired tape message and hopefully you can keep yourself from some grief that way. Unfortunately, you would have to remember to expire the tapes manually or you would end up with all of your tapes getting used once by HSM and left out to dry:) Also, you could set aside some tapes to be used by JES2 and control their use manually.
