Subject: History - Early Green Card

I just acquired what I believe to be an early 'green card'.

It's actually a white booklet, GX20-1727-5, 20 pages (back cover is page
20). =20
Title is IBM System/360 Reference Card - System/360 Model 20

I remember hearing/reading some trivia that the original 'green card'
was white.

Looks like the same format as more recent cards.

List of instructions much shorter that the GX20-1703 cards.

Can anyone confirm/deny that this is a predecessor to the more familiar
foldout cards GX20-1703 series?

No, you have one of the replacement booklets. The S/360-20 ref summary
was a yellow card, similar to the S/360 larger systems "Green" card. I
used to have one, but someone stole it out of my desk some years ago. I
ordered a replacement and got the booklet (which has since come up
missing -- but I'll probably find that one once I get done unpacking --
just moved to TX from OH).

Later,
Steve Thompson
