Now that we have our first LPAR up and running on z/OS 1.8, I see that ISPF option 3.17 is available.
17 Udlist Print or display (to process) z/OS UNIX directory list This utility seems to have most all of the capabilities that the ISHELL has. I tried to search for a techdoc or redbook that would explain the history of why 3.17 Udlist was created and how it compares to ISHELL. Which direction is IBM headed? Are ISHELL's days numbered? Will IBM continue to support and enhance both interfaces.
