Hi,
Does anybody know what happened to this "big" project in Texas because
the feedback I am getting is ludicrous ?
We have kids with laptops going to the STate Agencies , doing initial
technical investigations.
These "kids" have never worked with the products that they need to support.
I had a company in Austin, TX that contacted me last week.
They told me they are one of two sub-contractor's to IBM and their job
is to hire people with the technical knowledge. But as a sub-contractor
, you will report to these IBM "project managers" doing technical
investigation with all the State Agencies.
In 2002/2003, I was an Architect to a Texas State Agency and we asked
IBM to come in and explain why they sold some of the software to these
people. The "IBM kids" arrived with their laptops and attacked EntireX
and Adabas by asking us questions about the SAG products.
All we said was "Did any of you ever work with any SAG product ?" and
they answered "NO" and the meeting was over.
Conclusion: Looks to me like IBM is doing exactly the same as what
happened at NISSAN and Sprint. GArtner is this what you had in mind ?
Anton
