the edit macro should come from your clist/rexx concatenation. if it
isn't 
set by the edit panel, it's set by the edited dsn's suffix qualifer or

imac pdf variable.

Thanx, you got me thinking. I went into =7 (ISPF testing) and took a
look at all the variables.

I found the following:

ZDAEMAC   CANCE

So I killed it and VOILA! Thinking back, this was directly related to me
running IPCS (and figuring out a problem) and the session getting a S522
(that'll teach me to forget to shut it down when I go back to writing
code...).
