CICS works alot better when it is restarted everyday (less storage
fragmentation, etc). Even our so called '24/7' applications can come
down for 15 minutes each day. Although the main reason we do this is so
that we can implement changes on an automatic basis without having to
arrange for restarts or change the automation schedules.
