That appears to be awfully frequent.

The MTTF/MTBF argument has always been a bit political.
Now, it's worse.
Ever since RAID, XRF, PLEX, etc., what is the true definition of 
failure/outage/downtime?

IMO, the application has to be off the air.
Everything else is noise.
