> Is the zIIP/zAAP suport just for parsing XML documents or does > the support also extend to the creation of XML?
One does have to wonder what's going on inside of IGZCXML. On z/OS 1.7, compiling a COBOL program containing XML GENERATE and XML PARSE statements with the Enterprise COBOL 3.4.0 compiler using the LIST option indicates that both XML GENERATE and XML PARSE cause the creation of a BALR to this runtime routine. On z/OS 1.7 Strobe 3.03 indicates that a program that does little else aside from XML GENERATE spends 99+% of its time in module ".XMEMORY" section ".XMEMORX" which Strobe identifies as "EXTENDED CROSS MEMORY." ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
