I should add to the information I posted earlier. The information about Cobol 4 was based on an IBM Web document from about a year ago when I was researching information on newer COBOL releases, and which has since been taken off their website. So there may not be a Cobol 4 / 64 bit version even in the works.
As to my versions numbers, I use the ones from the compiler itself. I find it less confusing then using IBM's naming conventions lately. So, by Cobol 2.2 I mean OS390 Cobol/LE.
