Hi IBM-Main, I read somewhere that there have been some major performance improvements to the use of the TRUNC(BIN) compiler option.
ENTERPRISE COBOL FOR Z/OS 3.3.1 and ENTERPRISE COBOL FOR Z/OS 3.4.0 Does anyone have any information on this ? ... The background on this is we are undergoing a performance review of application code and one of the things we have noticed is that the use of TRUNC(BIN) in the application compiler options is quite prevalent, and there were some concerns regarding the associated performance degradation. Any information would be much appreciated.
