Ah the good old days! Oddly enough even with session managers, this is still the way most people work. Only today the number of sessions per user is probably up to 4 or more. I routinely had 5 or 6 going a lot of the time - a couple of windows looking at source and listings, at least one in XDC, a couple more pointing at bookmangler... it is pretty easy to rack up big numbers of sessions and also pretty easy to step on your own toes.
