I disagree. "The boss may not always be right, but he's still the boss." :-(

Our COBOL-only staff has/had no reason to be diving into PARMLIB. In the "old days" of IPS/ICS tuning, I got far too many complaints: "My database shouldn't be pageable", "My TSO session should have a storage fence.", etc. Tuning is for the business needs, NOT the individuals' (perceived) needs

The overall business needs MUST be the first consideration.

I always figured it was b ecause that user had too much spare time. Solution: notify his manager. Politics disallowed UACC(NONE).
