What you put on the volume and who uses it are still key. If you decide to stripe one really big tablespace over several volumes and then find you have unused space and start using it, then you have introduced more users which increases potential for delays. If instead of one really big tablespace you made many partitions and only DB2 accesses it then you might get more parallelism from DB2. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
