Someone has asked about a product to convert files to pdf format. I know about the TXT2PDF utility but my management is skittish about freeware that makes it into production so I'm looking for alternatives. Is there anyone charging and, more importantly, supporting a product that does the same thing?

I would assume that this is the same management that complains about the high cost of z/OS software? So they complain about the high cost of software and the don't want free software. Umm. Oh well.

I would guess that you already have "tons" "freeware" already installed. All the custom written programs you and the other systems programmers and all of your application programmers have written.

As Lionel said, the product is open-source, so you have access to the source. Take a look at it and see if you think that it would be any more difficult to support than any of the other programs that you support.
