I am not held back by your constraints. I merely asked for transmit output file.
And so additional thanks go out to Volker Bandke, Wolfgang Schaefer, Rob
Prin, Jim Morrison, and Jay Moseley. Now if only the Turnkey system supported
(had genned) those 2305 and 2311 DRUMs I could give xmit370 a try. As it is,
the two control records I am after show up in the IEBCOPY unload format
sequential file and so the transmit file is not a necessity. 3340's are genned in
the turnkey system.
-------------------<unsnip>--------------------
I don't rmember the exact nomenclature for the 2305; IIRC it was a
"Fixed Head Storage Device". 2311 was a demountable disk that was
SOMEWHAT similar in appearance to a 3340 drive; the last shop I was in
that used them referred to them as "Maytags" 'cuz they loaded from the
top. Also IIRC, IEBCOPY treated them just like any other DASD device.
