Some large shops have been waiting a long time for this support. One of
our environments has about 65 3990-3 volumes for example.
But I agree... wait for now if you can. I was recently notified via ASAP of
another HIPER related to this. Volumes showing >100% usage or something
like that. I deleted the notification since we have no current plans to
migrate spool to large DS.
Do you remember the APAR number? We are looking to begin migration to
large spool next month and would not like to be surprised. All our
systems are currently at the RSU0705 level so we should be current on fixes.
