Step information is where you'd expect it to be, in the Step Control Table (IIRC, mapping macro is IEFASCT). It's pointed to by the JSCB (either address, or a token to be resolved with SWAREQ). However, if you're going into other address spaces, you could hit it during a step change, in which case you might see misleading results.
