At my previous employer we bought DASD on the used market. It was _very_ common to have them come pre-installed (haha) with the previous owner's operating systems and data files. Which I always promptly erased, after shaking my head sadly. This is up through and including STK Iceberg boxes. We typically overwrote ours with multiple passes of 'FF's then '00's repeatedly before selling them off. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
