gskkyman still exists. See chapter 9 of the z/OS 1.7 System SSL Programming Guide. (Cryptographic Services book shelf). My Equifax cert was pullled in just fine into the gsk key database (hfs file). There are certainly benifits to using RACF but it is not required for the cert. The servers definately have to be permitted to CSF resources via RACF (or some SAF) but they can use the gsk db via TELNETPARMS. You can use keyring, gsk db and supposedly an MVS dataset although I never got past syntax errors when attempting to use an MVS dataset.
