Daniel, As far as XMITIP is concerned, it still uses IBM supported SMTP to actually do the sending of the mail. All xmitip really does is puts a nice ISPF or batch front end on it and does all the nasty mime encoding for attachements etc. I've been using it a number of years with no problems. I wouldn't worry about support since it is all written in REXX, so you receive all the source, and if any XMITIP specific questions arise, they can be posted here as there are a number of satisfied users on IBM-main, or on Lionel's website it says theres an XMITIP list on yahoo groups.
