How did the entries in your test lpar catalog get created? If it was part of the copy process, that implies your test catalog is accessible from the production lpar. If so, then you can use the DELETE NOSCRATCH and the DEFINE NVSAM commands in ICDAMS to update the test catalog prior to IPLing the test lpar.
