Ron,
The JES2 manuals say that you can $ADD APPL... and you can $T APPL...
There's no $DEL APPL, because this information, says the book, is not
checkpointed. It's read in fresh from PARMLIB at JES2 start time.

A $ADD or a $T might fix your problem on the fly, depending on what's wrong.
Update PARMLIB to fix the bad APPL and you should be OK after the next IPL.

delete add function..?
