I've been tempted to throw in so many spanners like this but I've been
inhibited by a kindness to these less privileged folk who have never
even heard of the delights of working with SNA products.

Strange as it may seem, I actually enjoyed working with SNA. We used a
RYO front end for user authentication at terminal sign-on time, as well
as some fancy "goodies" for RJE stations and remote PC-based access via
VPN. Even supported 2780 RJE stations!
