I tried to install SYSREXX on z/OS 1.8, and I believe there's an SMP/E packaging error within the base function sysmod HBB77SR regarding an IFREQ for UA35026 (which is a PTF for the Japanese language feature), which causes APPLY to fail. I've reported the problem to IBM. We'll have to see how they wish to fix this.
