Thank you Patrick for your comments on SA. Actually, i have never used the SA user's group, but after several years of working with the product, I can only say that it has a mind of it's own and the trick is to always try to keep outsmarting it - even thought it always knows what you want to do better than you do itself.
However, for the most part, once you somewhat master some of the intracacies of SA, it is not a bad product, only an autocratic one. We depend on it not only to bring up our lpars and respond to messages, but in may cases as a job scheduler (like for CICS regions) which it was really not meant to be. SA was written to handle large sysplexes and in its own crazy way that is what it does. It has alot of flexibility and can keep you busy and entertained as well as provide a rare chance to be creative. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
