Thank you Patrick for your comments on SA.

Actually, i have never used the SA user's group, but after several years
of working with the product, I can only say that it has a mind of it's
own and  the trick is to always try to keep outsmarting it - even
thought it always knows what you want to do better than you do itself.

However, for the most part, once you somewhat master some of the
intracacies of SA, it is not a bad product, only an autocratic one. We
depend on it not only to bring up our lpars and  respond to messages,
but in may cases as a job scheduler (like for CICS regions) which it was
really not meant to be.

SA was written to handle large sysplexes and in its own crazy way that
is what it does.  It has alot of flexibility and can keep you busy and
entertained as well as provide a rare chance to be creative.
