I thought the rule of thumb for Logical to Physical CPU's was a 2:1 ratio. Has this changed with the z9 (or was I just way out in left field)? Wouldn't the ration above be 4:1 at best (and I expect it is likely to be even higher)? If so, the lack of comments (and there always seems to be helpful comments when someone is in excess of 'good practice') is making me question my recollection of the recommended limits. Since we are looking at an upgrade and may need to increase LPAR's as well I would like to make sure I have not been misguiding the analysis with something that is wrong either because the rules have changed with the faster processors available today or I was just wrong in the first place. Thank you for any advice/information you care to share (or direction to available documentation that will explain).
