We had this in the past because of several thousend ENQ for DB2 tablesspace. We exclude these in the GRSRNL. This is dangerous and can be a pain. So make sure you do NOT share these data. Search the archive for more info. AFAIR we save 50% of the GRS CPU
GRS provides a nice as-is monitor. I believe it's called ISGMON. At this time I add some coding to SHOWzOS to show some data from the internal GRS cblocks to see the usage. However this display is gone with z/OS R9 as the ISGGVTX is gone with z/OS R9. >I have been noticing lately that when I am in the SDSF DA screen sorted by CPU% D, that occassionally GRS will pop up to the top with 10%-15% under the CPU% column. > >Is this something I need to look at? It is not very long, maybe a couple of seconds up and then down again? > >If so, what reports would be best to determine why it is using CPU? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html
