We had this in the past because of several thousend ENQ for DB2 tablesspace.
We exclude these in the GRSRNL. This is dangerous and can be a pain. So
make sure you do NOT share these data. Search the archive for more info.
AFAIR we save 50% of the GRS CPU

GRS provides a nice as-is monitor. I believe it's called ISGMON.
At this time I add some coding to SHOWzOS to show some data from the
internal GRS cblocks to see the usage. However this display is gone with
z/OS R9 as the ISGGVTX is gone with z/OS R9.

>I have been noticing lately that when I am in the SDSF DA screen sorted by
CPU% D, that occassionally GRS will pop up to the top with 10%-15% under
the CPU% column.

seconds up and then down again?

>If so, what reports would be best to determine why it is using CPU?
