Something similar happened to us, some years ago. As a result, we make sure that z/OS routing information is mostly ignored by the first router we connect to. The only thing they accept from z/OS is our host routes. They ignore our default route or any other routing data coming from z/OS OMPROUTE. This is done using routing filter commands in the router.
