If the target address of the branch is predictable, then SLIP successful
branch processing will definitely work for you, as you can set a trap for
the target range and the trap hits on a "branch into" for which the PER
address is the address of the branch instruction..

Hardware branch tracing will help only if the branch is one of the branches
that architecturally produce trace records (normal conditional branch does
not, for example).
