It's a pea counter thing, nothing else. One day, all the stuff running on z/OS will be either zAAPzIIPzOOP- enabled JAVA, zAAPzIIPzOOP-enabled COBOL, zAAzIIPzOOP-enabled PL/1, or zAAPzIIPzOOP-enabled HLASM code.
