Of course those character string lines may or may not display as
you intended since it depends on what code page we are using
to look at them.  (I think that was your point.)

I'm using Firefox set to display using ISO-8859-1 running on a WinXP 
that hopefully pays attention to the codepage specification, but I don't
know for sure.   That's all part of the fun of working with codepages.
