Hi all,

We have a question being sent to IBM concerning this, but I thought I'd try
to get a leg up and see if anyone else here has been down this road before
me.

There are sample programs in several languages using ICSF callable functions
in the ICSF Appl. Pgmr's Guide (Appendix D). I have compiled and linked the
COBOL sample, but both the key generation function and the ENCode function
get RC=12, function not available, reason code = 0.

My systems area seems to think we have CPACF on all of our z9 HW CP's and
that ICSF is installed and operating, so simple key generation and encoding
*should* be supported. Is there anything else I should be looking for, any
ICSF gotcha's for our systems area to check on?

We positively do NOT have cryptographic co-processors anywhere is the only
thing I know for sure at this point.

TIA for any help you can provide.

Peter
