FYI 20+ years ago I worked at a company that had a Assembler H batch compile 'initiator' This was not for programmers but was for clerks who submitted batch jobs for compile to create "inquires" for another program that would run these inquires as a subtask. This worked reasonably well but on a 168MP the compiles would bury the cpu in no time.
