Peter, >If there is an IBM problem with LSQA cleanup in an initiator, then >IBM in all likelihood will not "wash their hands" of it.
I beg to differ slightly. I had reported problems that were NOT fixed by IBM. They were deep in DFP code and I was told that fixing them would be too big of a risk because it would require design changes. In my opinion, that does constitute "wash their hands". On the other hand, many IBM control blocks may be IBM control blocks, but they were getmained because the *application* forced the operating system to do it and then did not follow the protocols to clean up. In that case, it is usually very hard to get the vendor (and even IBM) to change their *usage*. Regards, Barbara Nitz -- GMX FreeMail: 1 GB Postfach, 5 E-Mail-Adressen, 10 Free SMS.
